In order to offer superior customer service and a vast inventory of domestic hardwoods, exotic lumber, and custom mouldings and millwork, our skilled sales representatives travel all over the world in search of premium wood. Whether they are in the Democratic Republic of Congo examining selections of Sapele or in the North Western United States inspecting Western Red Cedar forests, our sales representatives are careful to choose only the finest selections. Each Piece of Wood Undergoes Multiple Inspections
Once the lumber arrives at our Maryland facility, it will once again undergo a critical examination. Only boards that pass our trained employees' inspections will make it to the air drying yard or kiln. After the drying process, our employees once again perform hand inspections to detect any kiln defects, and, should they spot any, the board is removed from the rest of the lumber.
Once a customer places an order, the lumber will undergo yet another examination before being shipped out. Our goal in conducting such meticulous inspections is to provide our valued customers with the best possible product available. The J. Gibson McIlvain Company can then deliver your order to any location nationwide using either its own fleet of trucks or an approved third party carrier.
